FERNANDA NORONHA’S BIOGRAPHY
Fernanda Noronha is a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose first album “Fernanda Noronha” was recorded under the You Music Records label in April 2005 in Brazil, produced by Norman Connors and Duke Jones. The album featured 13 songs, all authored by Fernanda Noronha. The Executive Producer was Clarence O. Smith (co-founder of Essence Magazine). The album was recorded in both, Portuguese and English, but only released in Portuguese. The English track version of the album had the famous singer Jean Carne as record/vocal producer.
Born in Salvador- BA, Brazil, Fernanda Noronha began singing at the age of 11 at religious events and church choir. By sixteen she decided to become a professional musician and played with many groups and bands in order to gain experience. She sang in pubs, restaurants, hotels, casinos and big events and music festivals in Brazil and Portugal. Her songs reveal many music influences like, Bossa Nova, Samba, Afro-beats and Jazz.
Fernanda relocated to the United States in the summer of 2011 and calls Atlanta, GA, “home”. Since moving to Atlanta, she has had the chance to sing in many music festivals and private events like “Houston Brazilian Carnaval (TX, 2019)”, “Bridgefest (GA, 2018)”, “Atlanta Jazz Festival” (GA, 2015), “Riverdalle Seafood & Music Festival” (GA, 2014), “Oakhurst Jazz Festival” (GA, 2014) and “Brazilian day Festival” (GA, 2013/2014).
Her second phonographic Project was a EP. It was released in 2015 under Tribo Records in association with Ropeadope Records. The album features four songs of her authorship, and produced by Khari Simmons Cabral, Julius Speed and Darren Benjamin.
With more than 500 songs in her repertoire, the singer has been showcasing her own repertoire, Brazilian classics and international hits, with new arrangements and beautiful interpretations, in several cities in the United States as well as in Brazil, Russia and Belarus.
Noronha also participated in 2017 in the American bass player Khari Cabral Simmons’ project, singing the song 78 & Sunset from the album “Jivas – Heaven & Earth” and recently she was honored with a photo of her in performance at the exhibition “We from Jazz” by famous and prestigious Russian photographer Andrey Safonov.

2017 – Winner of the “Brazilian international Press Award 2017” for “Best Brazilian Show”, presented by Focus Brasil Foundation (FL) and Globo International Television.
